OUR OBJECTIVES

To improve accessibility to public services via the Internet by bringing together Directgov and Local Authority online services into a single offering:

We are collecting data for priority services by 9 December 2005 and for a further set of services by 17 March 2006.

About the CSV Files (Spreadsheet) Data Collection

A standard format for the CSV (Comma Separated Values) delimited file is available (cross-reference). The authority can use it in one of two ways: Firstly, for manually identifying the URL for each relevant service/interaction and entering it into the CSV delimited file for subsequent uploading to the esd-toolkit; secondly, for creating an extract routine from the Content Management System to generate the CSV delimited file for uploading. The data for only one Local Authority should be contained within any single CSV delimited file, but the data can be uploaded in tranches through multiple versions of the file.
