Dates To Note
OUR OBJECTIVES
To connect the Directgov website to Local Authority websites in order to provide an accessible, single point of entry into both Central Government and Local Authority services via the Directgov website – www.direct.gov.uk |
Three Projects
The Local Directgov Programme will deliver three innovative projects, the outputs of which will enable the achievement of our overall objectives:
- Project 1: The National Infrastructure and Engagement Project – led by London Connects.
- Project 2: Neighbourhoods and Parish Councils Project – led by Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, and Surrey ePartnership.
- Project 3: Home and Community Franchise Project – led by ODPM's Home & Community Franchise.
As one of the top four government websites, with well over 1.8 million visitors per month – a figure that is continually rising – Directgov is already a proven successful citizen delivery channel for Central Government services. Local Authorities are already making good progress in achieving their targets of 100% e-enablement of services by December 2005, in accordance with the Priority Service Outcomes and the IEG Programme E.
